Austin Without Limits
Join Us!

Have you ever wondered what the Chamber of Commerce highlights as "must see" attractions in Austin? Well, the Austin Without Limits group is for those who want to explore everything Central Texas has to offer! This group does everything from couples dinners at local wineries and nights out with live music to family outings like bat-watching and the Duck Tour. Austin has so many fantastic and unique opportunites. Join Alliance friends and experience Austin!

October 22 - Ghost Tour or Duck Tour in downtown Austin

December 5 - Sunday Matinee, the Nutcracker at the Long Center. Last year
the Alliance was able to get a box for our group. You can trade your season
tickets to go on this day in order to be with the group.

January 6 - Tango Buenos Aires, dinner and show at the One World Theater.

March 1 - Zilker Kite Festival.

April 1 - Dinner and dancing at the Broken Spoke.

July 4 - Fire works, symphony and box dinner on the shores of Town Lake.

August - Bat Cruise and dinner at Lady Bird Lake.

Please contact Edie Finch at edie@ediefinch.com if you would like to join this committee or if you would like to attend any of these events.

Austin Fun Runs
Come walk or run!

Whether you walk or run, join us at Lady Bird Lake! This group of ladies meet every week to enjoy one of Austin's favorite activities. Whether you have a baby in a jogger or you're on your fifth marathon, Austin Fun Runs is for you. This group also participates in several Austin area runs while representing the Alliance. Spouses join in on the sidelines sporting TCMA t-shirts while holding our Alliance banner. Please mark your calendars and join us for some upcoming races!

Contact Lydia Soldano for more information.
Lunch Bunch
Join Us!

We all have to eat, right? Meet up with Alliance friends to try new and/or interesting local restaurants. This group is not allowed to do any work... just eat, drink and be merry! This is also a great opportunity to network.

Contact Mary Jane Moran for the group's next dining choice.
Book Review
Join Us!

The TCMA Book Review is a lively group that discusses current literature, clasics, non-fiction or anything that looks interesting. We meet the 4th Wednesday of most months with at least one evening meeting in order to include spouses and those who are not able to attend during the day. The Holiday lunch is held in December with a potluck luncheon and recommendations by those in attendance for gift giving. Reading the current book is not a requirement to attend the meeting, sometimes it's a good way to determine if the book is worth the time. The meeting always is!

Mah-jongg
Join Us!

Meet to play this ancient Chinese game.  It's easy to learn!

This group meets on the first and third Wednesdays of the month. The first meeting is at the home of Deborah Jones on September 7th at 12 noon. Contact Deborah if interested or for directions.
Partners in Practice
Join Us!

Do you work in your spouse's office? Well, first, bless your heart. Second, wouldn't you like to have a sounding board to discuss all the unique challenges you face?? This supportive group meets to share concerns and ideas with other spouses who work in their partner's office. Whether you are new to working in a medical practice or a seasoned veteran, this committee will help you network with others who may be able to share insights on everyday problems and hopefully provide a few well thought out solutions!

Contact Roberta Pazdral if this is a group for you!
Prime Time Ladies
Join Us!

So, you chaired the Gala 20 years ago, Toast to Doctors 30 years ago and you've had that "Chair" title next to your name one time too many! Do we have the group for you!

Our "Prime Time Ladies" is an invaluable group of volunteers within the Alliance that volunteer only when they feel like it! They have served their time and don't want to wear the big hat anymore, but the Alliance is still near and dear to their hearts.  This wonderful group helps with a variety of tasks such as providing snacks for meetings or putting lables on envelopes without commiting to any longterm projects.

Please consider being on this list of helpful volunteers. We love you, we value you and we need you! If you can spare a morning or two a year, please contact Ann Ballard or B.K. Mayes. They're wearing the big hats so you don't have to.
Women In Medicine
Join Us!

This is an informal gathering of female physicians. We get together periodically for happy hour as an opportunity to meet new friends, vent frustrations and share the practice of medicine with other female physicians.

Committee Chair: Rosalind Martz, MD
Stitching Pals
NEW GROUP!

This NEW committee is for members who knit, crochet, sew, cross-stitch, smock, or whatever! We will meet monthly to swap ideas & expertise & share our latest projects. We may make hats or blankets for the newborns at local hospitals.

 Contact Roberta Pazdral if interested.
